Slight issue

Today, I sit alone in a nearly empty apartment, drinking from a whiskey bottle. Two weeks ago, my wife and I were ready to welcome our first child… except the little bastard was the wrong color, and my wife's hysterical tears told me everything. FML

I believe "bastard" is the correct term for a child whose parents are not married.

“Little bastard” seems to be a realistic, though unpleasant description of the situation. … I am assuming that the “black baby” is not so much a racial denigration as it is a paternity test of the child’s biological father. … Yes, it’s not the baby’s fault. But taking on the task of being a father to another man’s child with a cheating mother is not a thing to accept lightly. … OP - Yes, this truly sucks! And I suspect you had no good options. I am sorry for you and for the baby.
