Today, the guy I've been seeing posted about having relationship problems and arguments with his girl. I've been in the hospital for surgery for the past few days and have been unable to talk to him. Before this, he told me I was the only one. Guess not. FML

I feel like you might possibly be jumping the gun here. Like were you arguing with him at all BEFORE you went into the hospital? He might simply have been thinking about it and decided to post that status, it doesn't necessarily mean it's about something that happened that very day.

Maybe, but we can’t know for sure. Perhaps the surgery was needed because the OP got shot and failed to dodge the bullet.

True. Or he was jokingly talking about his cat or dog as his SO. There might be a reasonable explanation. I'd let him tell his story before deciding whether to dump him.

The bad news is that we hadn't had an argument, and he admitted that he was talking about another girl in his post. The good news is that FML is super slow to post, so this is in the past and dealt with, and I've recovered well from my surgery :)
