And, then... the deluge of MLK Day stories!

I don’t remember seeing one, but I’m sure they exist. Hilarious blunders about white privilege and cultural appropriation. I can’t wait!

Um, Sweety? You need to dump that psycho before she starts boiling bunnies. That is a horrifically nasty thing to do to anyone, let alone a partner. If it wasn't just unthinking stupid then she did it deliberately, knowing what it would do to you. This is called torcher and is one of the glaring, 40ft neon warning signs that you may be in an abusive relationship. If this is the 3rd or more time that she's done something like this then you need to be exiting stage left in the first passing opportune moment.

I think one time would be too many times. I don't think it's fair to have OP go through it x amount of times before throwing in the towel. His girlfriend is far too toxic.

Every human being that has ever lived is just as flawed and faulty as the next. It could be a completely random one off due to drink and stupidity. The rule of threes works well here. Once is random, twice is to be noted and thrice is a pattern.
If she's done things like this 3 times or more then it is a pattern, or start of a pattern, of abusive behaviour and time to hit the Abort button. As a general rule for judging other peoples treatment of you, its not a bad one.

Suicide is not a joke and your girlfriend is far too immature. You should not be with someone who cannot comprehend the fact that you have anxiety and that doing a stupid prank could end with YOU in the hospital. I'm so sorry that you had an anxiety attack OP and I hope you're feeling better.

If someone you love and deeply care about sent you pictures cutting their wrists but later you found out it was paint or ketchup.. would you take it lightly?

I’m so conflicted on this. I agree that she’s totally psycho and shouldn’t have done that. But at the same time, my brother went a year drinking blue Gatorade out of a Windex bottle for a joke, so maybe I’m just desensitized to this kind of stuff?

I get what you're saying but OP has, from what I've gathered, severe anxiety. This is something, I am assuming, his girlfriend might have been aware of. And if a panic attack that bad has landed him in the hospital, his girlfriend is to blame. Now, with your situation (please let me know if I'm wrong) it sounds like you knew early on about your brother. What he did could pass as a joke if everyone is in on it. Those that aren't are going to be extremely concerned.
