The bottom of the pressure cooker is probably plastic. It's most likely a self-contained unit like a Ninja or an Instant-pot. And that most certainly can melt.

Dear lord, if you can’t learn the first time when ruining a pressure cooker in an improbable way I can only imagine the extent of your actual cooking skills.

You should be putting thing on the stove that are used for cooking. I keep a pot and a tea kettle on my stove at all times and sometimes a cooking pan.

You got what you deserved. The first time you melted the pressure cooker, should have been a lesson. Hopefully you learned this time
