So he'd rather have a good night with his friends then stay at home alone waiting for you to get home? you might hate the bar, but if it's for less then 30 minutes (taking into account travel time), surely you'd be able to put up with it, right?

I think there’s some other things that we need to know.
1) where is the bar in relation to you work, if it close by then maybe he had planned on meeting you after.
2) you 2 don’t have to like the same things. He may like the bar but base on what you wrote he not trying to get you to go to that bar.

You should have went out and brought home some random guy who would have been happy to have someone to be with on the New Year. Lots of single people out there

I agree with what you say about the handicap parking spot. But I disagree with the toilet 🚽 part. I can’t speak for his university but mine only has handicap bathrooms but with out the emergency pull string. And if you have to take a crap and that the only toilet available your going to go. People aren’t using it vector convenient like the do the handicap spot.
