The illustrated FMLs

Today, I watched my daughter squealing with delight in front of a video game. Beating a boss? Slaying an adversary? Completing a quest? Not at all. She was chasing birds, making them fly away, then starting all over again as soon as they landed. She's 19. FML

For such an innocent act you should be thankful lol. What if she was squealing in delight at murdering gta v civilians with an rpg exploding their faces?

Sure this bird chasing seems juvenile to you, but being able to feel enjoyment from simpler activities it is a MUCH better trait to have than what certain other gamers possess...

please explain to me how its a better trait to simply have a different preference of video games that you enjoy.

Agreed. Assuming it's reasonable and not harmful in any way, parents should be happy their kids are happy. Even if the thing making them happy is a little odd to them.

I find myself flinching and making random sounds constantly while playing some of my favorite games. It's silly, but getting into a game is really no big deal, in my opinion. Especially when at home.

127, I play horror games and everything makes me flinch. F.E.A.R. has me flinching constantly. Sometimes, there's some sort of weird "argh" outburst. No need to be snarky.
