doesn't really sound like an FML to me; but I've had a couple of experiences like this. One time the delivery person was too lazy to deliver and falsified a signature. The other was probably a scam because it was a small company and they claimed to have knocked and all and we had to pay a fee to pick up the delivery. Both times me and my family were clearly at home and would've heard the door.

I had that same thing happen to me once(well not exactly the same thing I didn't order eye makeup), with medication. When I went to the post office, and told them about it, they showed me a picture of the house they supposedly delivered it to; it was totally the wrong house. They said that there was nothing they could do. Luckily I was able to call the VA pharmacy, and explain the situation. They said that they had been having problems in that area, and sent replacements by next day delivery.

I'm a carrier with USPS. Call your local post office and ask for the GPS coordinates of the delivery point. You can put those coordinates into Google Earth, and it will show you exactly where it was delivered, accurate to a few feet.

Amazon told me that there are sometimes valid reasons why a package says it was delivered, but isn't at my house and to give it three more days before contacting them. They didn't give me any examples as to why though.

I have often received notice that the USPS has made the delivery only to have it delivered in the next two days. I believe they send a delivered notice once they receive the package at the post office. I hope your shipment will arrive.

Canada Post, my experience thus far, has never messed up a delivery. Tracking numbers they provide tell me where my package is at all times.

It could be the mail carrier. Mine is usually too lazy to get out of his truck so I can get my medication from the VA, so he just leaves a note so I have to drive 10 miles to the post office.
