Today I got grilled by my manager for not finishing a wall display.. She wanted me to re arrange a 15m wall (solo) in one hour before we closed . I didn't finish it as I was attending to a customer who come into my work, (a pharmacy) with his head split open. She said that wasn't a valid excuse FML

Hey OP here!
I wish i was able to write more in the original status.
The poor customer was an elderly man and was very confused when he came in. Myself and a few customers had to stop him leaving as he tried to walk onto a busy road away from the pedestrian crossing!
When I had finished attending to him, talking to the paramedics and then clearing the back log of customers (as it was just me and the pharmacist at the time, but every customer was very understanding about the wait given the circumstance) it was time to close and we were not allowed to stay back.
I still cannot believe my manager said it wasn’t a valid excuse, even the main pharmacist who wasn’t working that day told me it wasn’t a valid excuse. Those 2 should NOT be in pharmacy.

And since OP's "obviously" salaried (ie, not afforded over-time pay), there's no impact on the payroll budget for said "manager" to complain about, right? ;-)
[Yea, I know that I'm not familiar with Australian pay scales/ rules, but I can dream, right?]
