Today, as usual, my cat was sleeping on my stomach. I couldn't fall asleep so I delicately picked him up and put him down next to me. He got up, hopped back onto me, gave me a slap and then went back to sleep on my stomach. I didn't dare move all night. FML

My cat does that all the time. And if I wake up in the middle of the night and check the time, he meows nonstop and rubs himself all over me to the point where I can't fall back asleep :|

Yeah, but there's nothing like a feline bitch slap.

I was going to make some lame joke about "dog person" being a new species, but it turns out that Canis sapien sounds neither funny nor particularly scientific.

Agreed! 1 dog is better than 10 cats. No litter boxes to stink up the house, no obsessive scratching of furniture in the house, and no attacking you in the middle is the night because it feels like sleeping on you haha.

I have three dogs and my cat was sooo much easier to handle and take care of. Litter boxes are easier to keep clean than a back yard full of shit I have to search for and pick up.

#69 You don't necessarily have to with a dog either. I've always had outside dogs. Now that I have an inside dog, I put his jacket on him and tell him to go potty. He goes out, does his business then waits at the front door. I don't have to search the yard for poop since he always runs to the woods to do his business and I don't ever go in there. My fiancé's cat on the other hand, has a litter box in the house that MUST be cleaned twice a day or he will use the bathroom wherever he wants to in the house.

I really prefer my dog. Lol.
