This Woman Is Livid After The $100 iPhone 6 She Scored On Black Friday Turns Out To Be 11 Potatoes
Black Friday sales are known for being outrageous, but there is always a limit to how far you should go for the deal. For example, if you see a sketchy black van advertising insane discount prices on an array of products ranging from laptops to “bundles of hair,” it’s okay to pass up that opportunity. One anonymous woman in Milwaukee, Wisconsin learned the hard way.
She posted a video of her harrowing tale on LiveLeak, which you can watch in its entirety here. The audio on this video is a must.
According to the woman, last Friday a black van with balloons on it was making its rounds in her Milwaukee neighborhood advertising Black Friday deals on everything you could possibly imagine.
Scammin' til the scammin's through
The woman’s eye falls upon an iPhone 6 which the man in the van graciously agrees to sell to her for $100. She is skeptical, but eventually she’s sold.
“I ask him to call the phone and he showed me the number and I’m like, ‘Cool, it’s legit. It’s ringing. It’s working. I want it.’
But when she gets home, she opens the box and to her horror, there is no iPhone to be found. Instead she finds not one, not two, but eleven slices of potato crammed into the box.
“Cut up potatoes! For a hundred dollars, y’all. I am not kidding.”
To make matters worse, also included in the box was an Android charger.
“What the heck am I supposed to do with this?!”
Well that deal was a spud
Making a potato phone charger is pretty typical middle school science fair material, but of course, you’ve got to have the phone first.
Sorry, lady. Maybe you can try using your new potato slices to charge whatever device you filmed this video with!
