Seal Slaps Kayaker With Octopus (VIDEO)
A kayaker near the coast of Kaikōura in the South Island of New Zealand got the shock of a lifetime this week when a seal popped up out of the water next to him and slapped him across the face with the long tentacles of an octopus. Kinky, eh?
"I could feel all the hard parts of the octopus on my face..." said Kyle Mulinder after the fact. "I was like ‘mate, what just happened?’" He and his friends say they'd been watching the seal fight an octopus for a while before the above-water incident, which they captured on video thanks to the Go-Pro cameras they'd brought and mounted to their kayaks.

Mulinder shook it off right away, and was obviously a good sport about the whole thing. Those outdoorsey-types always seem to rebound quickly from odd animal encounters. How would you react if this happened to you though? Was this a gross FML or was it actually a win?
