One-Legged Amputee’s Hilarious Costumes Win Halloween
So there’s this guy named Josh Sundquist. He looks like this:
He’s really cool. Probably cooler than anybody you know. Even that one guy you know, Bryce, the professional nature photographer who's super ripped because he does crossfit and gets all the girls because not only is he rocking the godbod, but is creatively expressive and in touch with nature. Like, yeah, Bryce is cool, but even he has nothing on Josh.
Josh is a motivational speaker, an author, and an athlete, but while those are some of the most remarkable things about Josh, perhaps the first thing you’d notice about him is that he’s only got one leg.
At nine years old, he was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer and given a 50% chance of survival. A few years later, at thirteen, the his cancer was cured, but at the cost of his left leg.
Since then, he took up ski racing, competed in the 2006 Paralympics in Torino and played for the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team. He’s also been a motivational speaker at schools, Fortune 500 companies like Google, and even the White House. He’s written three books, and one is being adapted into a movie. Not to mention, he’s been featured on Spicy Nacho Doritos bags for his work for amputees.
Has Bryce ever been featured on the bags of the greatest chips of all time? I didn’t think so.
And while being on Doritos is all fine and good, the absolute coolest thing about Josh is his sense of humor, which he shows off every Halloween. His one-legged costumes are creative and hilarious and we love him all the more for them. Just check out some of his past costumes.
Here he is in 2010 as the Gingerbread Man.
And in 2012 as the leg lamp from A Christmas Story.
Getting particularly creative in 2013 as a flamingo.
My personal favorite, as a foosball player in 2014.
Making pun of himself in 2015 as IHOP.
And as Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast in 2016.
I bet Bryce’s costumes have never been this good. Josh wins Halloween, and also our hearts. What do you think he’ll be this year? Only a few days left and we’ll find out!
