Lady Gets Up To Get A Drink Of Water, Finds Stranger Passed Out On Her Living Room Couch
43-year-old Elaine McDade, a dance teacher from Glasgow, got a bit more than she expected when she walked down to her kitchen for a drink one night. According to LAD Bible, Elaine had been watching TV in bed with her children when she went downstairs and found quite the surprise.
26-year-old Thomas Airlie, an engineer from South Lanarkshire, had apparently given his taxi driver the address of his parent's old home instead of their current one, (or even his own address, for that matter.) Nothing seemed out of the ordinary for Thomas when he arrived. In fact, he even removed his shoes and helped himself to a drink from the fridge before passing out on the couch (A couch he'd likely never seen before.)
"I'd just arrived back from London that night and my husband was at work," said Elaine. "I was in bed with the kids on Saturday night and got up to make myself a drink.
"We were watching TV for about an hour and a half. I don't know if he was already in the house by then. Later on I went back downstairs and that's when I saw him fast asleep.
"When I saw him I woke him up straight away. I even asked him if he used to live here, or if he lived in the same street now and had just got the wrong door.
"I phoned my husband and he agreed to take him home but he didn't even know where he lived so he dropped him off at ASDA instead. To be honest, even just by the way he was laying, I could see he was just a normal guy who'd had too much to drink.
"I knew straight away he was just pissed. I knew he wasn't an intruder or a 'down and out'.
"If that was the case I would just have grabbed the kids and went outside."
"Our friend had a baby boy not long ago so we were out wetting the baby's head and we basically had a free night so we overindulged a wee bit," said Thomas' friend Robbie. "I can happily say he doesn't walk into people's houses and sleep on their couch on a regular basis and our group will most definitely never let him forget it."
