Do You Hear Yanny or Laurel? This Sound Clip Debate Has Taken Over the Internet

The FML office is split. Yanny or Laurel? You tell us.

This four second long audio clip that was posted on Reddit a few days ago by user Roland Camry has all internet users pulling their hair out. The video was posted to the subreddit BlackMagicFuckery, and after listening to the the audio clip we think you'll agree that that is exactly what it is.

While some people are very sure that they hear one name over the other, others claim to have heard both names when the audo clip was played at different times throughout the day. What is this sorcery? No matter what you hear, the comments describe us all.

Apparently the explanation has something to do with pitches, because science. Or, more specifically what this one commenter said:

Are you Team Yanny or Team Laurel?

ok, this is bizarre- on 1st play I heard "Yay-lee", no joke. Then I turned up the volume & heard Laurel; now I hear Laurel no matter what the volume. [head explodes]

My history teacher played this in my class as a joke and everyone got mad when someone said it was "yanny" (including the teacher) so us team Yanny people have to stick together
