Couple Trying To Conceive For 4 Years Was Unknowingly Doing It In The Wrong Hole

For once, it's not the American sexual education system that's in the spotlight. This FML moment is brought to you all the way from China.

Imagine having such a profound lack of knowledge surrounding sex that you actually don't know the difference between anal and vaginal sex... or that only one of the two will give you a baby. Well, that was exactly the situation for this Bijie city Chinese couple.

After years of having sex regularly and failing to get pregnant; the couple went to see obstetrician Liu Hongmei, the Guiyang Evening News reports.

Liu was inclined to check things out after the woman admitted that her sex life was less than pleasurable, and in fact was “usually painful.”

"The couple were very young, the man 26 and the woman 24. They were very healthy, but, despite being married for four years, couldn't conceive,” Liu said. "Their family was giving them a lot of stress because of it."

During the gynecological examination Liu discovered that the couple had been having anal intercouse for the entire duration of their marriage. She sent the couple home with a much needed sex-education handbook and within months, the woman became pregnant.

To show their appreciation, the couple sent Liu a live hen and 100 eggs. You know, as one normally does.

"Four years of marriage and neither the husband nor wife knew how to get pregnant. Couples so lacking in general knowledge are very rare," Liu said. "But it is not uncommon for people to lack or have misconceptions regarding sexual knowledge."

Yikes. At least it's not America this time.

The Asian cultures are far more conservative (generally) when it comes to relations between men and women. It's rare to see people making out on TV, much less anything more risqué. They certainly don't talk about it with their children except to put a lot of pressure on girls to stay pure until marriage, even so far as not being kissed until engaged.

It's just a different culture and expectations that has unfortunately led to a lot of misunderstandings and misinformation.

Not quite, it's listed as unproven, check Snopes 😉
It does say that it's very likely an old joke and modsu likely a fake article, but they haven't said officially that it's fake. Though FML should have done their research.

Riiight. I'll bet *he* knew and took an awesome opportunity to poke her in the rear as often as he wanted, *and* never had to worry about kids. Plus no excuse during her period.
