Client Bullies Artist After Being Told The Price Of Commissioned Blanket, Because Apparently People Don't Know Art Is A Real Job

Meet Krafty Katt, a crocheter who has accrued over 10,000 followers on Instagram by crocheting awesome blankets, hats, and socks for herself and her adorable cat.
Like most artists, Katt was comissioned to do a blanket by a client who was shocked when they were told the price of the work. Unfortunately, this is no unique experience for artists, as most clients expect artists to work for free-- or close to it. For Katt however, this one particular experience was definitely the worst. When she shared the exchange between her and the client it quickly went viral. Katt spoke with Bored Panda about her experience with the client from hell.
“I’m just a hobby crocheter and trying to keep it that way. I rarely do commissions, usually just done to reinvest money in my hobbies. Most people are extremely polite when inquiring about prices; I’ve been told one other time that I overcharge and that was as rude as it got before this.
“I’m not a business, so I really don’t consider anyone a potential customer, and if they’re rude I have no problem dishing it back. I don’t need to worry about negative reviews or anything like that, the repercussions for me are virtually zero.”
