Women years ago used to tell their kids that their new boyfriend was “Uncle John” . If you’ve only been together 3 months, maybe she just doesn’t want to build the kid’s hope up? Just ask her about it!

Your girlfriend told you that you never will be the (step-)father of her child, only the provider for both of them. You should think long and hard what this relationship is worth to you.

I can't tell if she doesn't consider you two are in a relationship, or if she meant that literally. Do you have a brother by any chance? If so, time for a little talk.

Uhhh I don’t really remember a wide majority of people accidentally creating incest HOWEVER this child is 1, there’s no way to give or take away the child’s hope as the child hasn’t a single clue what family relationships are and would naturally make assumptions based on a 1 year olds mind.

I call my stepmother "Auntie". Doesn't mean I don't see her as my step-mother, but in my culture there's no word for stepmom and obviously I'm not going to call her mom. That's what I call my actual mom. Auntie is the next best thing and most respectful.
