16 Year Old Skier Schools Sexist Trolls With Just One Photo

We'd say it's an FML for the trolls, but their lives are usually just one big FML moment anyway.

At just 16 years old, Jade Hameister has accomplished more than most people do in a lifetime. She is the youngest person to complete the Polar Hat Trick, which consists of crossing the North Pole, South Pole, and Greenland ice sheet.

According to Bored Panda, 2 years ago, Jade completed a TEDx Talk where she received a lot of hateful responses from men. We know: shocking. But really, guys? This little girl is going to be your target? One of the more common responses to Jade's talk from men was the classic, super creative and not at all worn-out comeback “go make me a sandwich.”

But the skier was not phased by the trolls. In fact, she decided she would, in fact, make them a sandwich.

"I made you a sandwhich (ham & cheese), now ski 37 days and 600km to the South Pole and you can eat it."

Well, she absolutely killed it. . Hats off to you, Jade. We applaud you.

“Experiences that have transformed me and my soul. New pins on my map, new smells, new tastes, new friends, new cultures and a new mindset. I’ve pushed myself past what I once thought were my boundaries and challenged what other people once thought was possible for young women in particular.”

Today, I went all the way to the North Pole to get a free sandwich. When I got there, I realized she said the South Pole. FML #freesandwich #12,000miledetour

I do not understand this "make me a sandwich" fuss. If you make a sandwich for your man, it dont make you less of a person. My girlfriend asks me to do stuff for her all the time, I don't feel less of a man. I move boxes, change engine oil, hold on to her shopping items when she shops, and other stuff. I don't feel offended. As a couple, you help each other out whenever you can. Am I the only one here that thinks that?

It's not the act of making a sandwich for someone who happens to be a man, it's men demanding that women get back in the kitchen where they belong. These are random people on the internet, not her boyfriend and the entire point of saying that is to demean her. There's a big difference between these guys and you saying 'Hey babe, can you make me a sandwich?'
