Content almost refused by staff

Today, my aging mom has lost all sense. She sent money to a scammer to "clear" her Amazon account. It's not the first time, and I can't get her to move closer so that I can help her more. She's going to end up living here anyway, in my spare room, after someone walks off with all her money. FML.

That might be a good idea if she's falling for scammers. When my grandmother developed Alzheimer's, my uncle took control of her finances, because she probably would have spent it all on cigarettes, and lottery tickets if left to her own devices.
