Give him a taste of his own medicine. Clean, but only so it benefits you. Don't do/fold his laundry, only wash your dishes and hide them after you've cleaned them, vacuum/pick up after only yourself where you most occupy space. I know that having a clean house is important, but having someone, who most likely helps dirty the place, to help you keep your house clean is even more important.
I hope he changes. I know it sucks, my exwife didn't have a job and still did nothing around the house. Maybe start with little steps. Like taking the laundry out of the dryer and putting in his lap to fold. That's how my dad trained me and my brother. Or asking for his help as you both do the dishes. Then work on him doing them himself.
