Unless you have an older model lcd with a huge screen I wouldn't worry about it. A modern led tv uses less power than a 40 watt old school lightbulb.
While true, even 40W adds up to roughly 20 kWh over 3 weeks. Not sure what Canadian electricity prices are like though.
It might've geen ghosts. Ghosts that are watching the tv.
And what of the fridge contents?
