Get some very bright tape of two very different colors, and put one color on one bottle, and the other on the other bottle. This way, she just has to know what color is for low, and what is for high. Best to let her pick the colors based off which she can associate with the needed effect. Hope you feel better and that they're wasn't any permanent damage done.
