Content almost refused by staff

Today, after getting out a low security psychiatric unit two weeks ago and returning to work after my depression hit new lows, I was greeted by my manager to tell me I no longer work there. Maybe I should have taken the 'what are you doing here?' from my colleague as a hint. FML.

Employment law is stricter in the UK and this is definitely covered. It's a disability, you cannot be lawfully dismissed because of it regardless of length of service. The OP would have to ensure they met company policy though e.g. Reported the absence, took proof from a doctor etc
