As he should

Today, I sold all of my son's games and gadgets because he got a horrible report card. It turned out that the school made some sort of a mistake and it wasn't his actual report card. He actually got great grades. I tried to apologize but he told me to fuck off. FML

I’ve had kids get bad grades, but I’ve NEVER sold their stuff to teach them a lesson. I’ve taken the stuff away, but ever outright got rid of it. Also how would you not know if your kid is doing bad or good in school considering most schools have online portals these days

How can you know so little about your child’s grades? If my kid got a report card that showed them failing, I would know something wasn’t right and would be contacting the school. OR if they were suddenly getting great grades in a subject I knew they struggled with, I’d know something was fishy. If your child actually had “great grades”, why didn’t you know in the first place?

WOW JUST WOW 😲 You are a horrible mother! Why would you destroy your relationship with your own son like that? and this is coming from someone whose parents decided when I was young to throw all of my personal belongings away to teach me a lesson! Well when I was 18, I went no contact with both of them and that's exactly what your son is going to do to you! because you sound like an insufferable bitch!

why. would you sell his stuff? I get taking it away until grades improve but not outright selling it all. ydi 100%
