I will likely get a few down votes for being a grumpy old man. Maybe he was taught what I was taught. If your girlfriend not only initiates sex, but is super adamant about having it, you need to stop and think long and hard, because she may well be ovulating and at her most fertile point. If you are good with the chances of children, proceed. If you are not ready, then best to avoid it. You can't trust birth control in all cases and better safe than sorry.
