Today, I was volunteering at the hospital. This lady was calling the Nurses' Station, and I had to go see what she wanted. When I asked her what she needed, she mumbled something. As I leaned in closer to hear what she was saying, she threw up all over my face. Apparently, she was nauseous. FML

ewwww. See I volunteer at a hospital, but I don't have to interact with the patients unless I am picking them up from their room and bringing them to the lobby. So no sick patients. but that is disgusting, and that sucks.

I second what number 28 said, 17 and 19 are both wrong, in fact you got it completely backwards. Nauseous means inclined to vomit; nauseate means to afflict with nausea. She could have been NAUSEATED by the thought of the food, but because of eating said food, she was feeling NAUSEOUS.

i was that girl once! i was ridiculously sick and said "I'm going to throw up..." it was the nurse's first day and she had a deer in the headlights look on her face and I said "hand me the trash, quick!" she wasn't quick enough!
I like the comic. I like how the word bubbles from the girl say repetitively "I'm sick."

Hey guys, turns out BOTH WORK--nauseous and nauseated mean the same thing as adjectives. It's like "addicting" and "addictive." However, "nauseate" is also a verb, whereas 'nauseous" obviously can't be. There, problem solved.
I didn't like the cartoon; it looks like wannabe manga.

I LOVE this art; it's adorable and catches my eye, but the comic is all wrong. FML's are known for leaving the most shocking things to the end. In this case the shocking "punchline" would be the woman throwing up, but this comic dragged it out and killed the effect. Although the drawings look humorous, the comic itself kills the FML with unecessary cartoony scenes of the vomit monster consuming the volunteer.

I think some people have missunderstanding the goal of these illustrations.
We dont want to describe the FML, it's nonsense. We want the drawing add something, make people laugh again even if we know the FML.

It's a very cute comic, but I really do agree with others that it can't stand on it's own, it's more of an enhancement to the fml than a fml on it's own. I really like this one on the french page.

Not only is the banner on top annoying as ****, but furthermore, the fact that the illustrator can't draw but a single comic every two-four weeks is lame as hell.

You know, I just read all of these, or most of them anyhow, because it's late and I'm trying to fall asleep. You guys have talked about Grammar and whether or not the comic is good. If you don't like grammar, don't read. If you don't like bad grammar, don't go on a website where posts can't be edited. If you don't like illustrated fmls, go the eff on, don't click the link. And for the people who said the banner was annoying? The banner is ALWAYS THERE. It's how these people generate enough MONEY for you to even SEE the comic that you say is bad. Which it isn't. I wish I could draw that well.

To be honest, I think people should stop concentrating, and criticising, on the comic so much, and actualy take note of the FML?

Here's a bit of advice (personal opinion of course), instead of creating mediocre illustrations (at best), just do it plain and simple! Even stick men would have been better! Make the strip a lot less shorter, put a 3 slide limit or something...
..and again, refer to Cyanide & Happiness to see what true illustrated comedy looks like.

I threw up over a number of nurses after my bone marrow harvest. I swallowed air during anaesthesia and began barfing time and time again once I woke up. A nurse tried to prop me up to help me drink, she had to go wash up a bit a minute or so later. Threw up on countless hands as people held tubs to catch my vomit in front of me. I really do feel sorry for all of the people that were coated in my bodily fluids that day.

I never really find it that difficult to make it to the bathroom when I'm feeling nauseous. I hate people that are like, "I'm going to throw up," or "I feel like I'm going to throw up," and just stand there. Make haste, you fuckface, I don't wanna have to clean up your puke. Cuz the puker never cleans up their own vomit.
That's why I don't volunteer for nothing.
BTW the art it's great and the barf it's kind of cute in a taste way.
