These Texts Between Mother And Daughter Fully Illustrate What A Nightmare Tampon Shopping Can Be

By nadine / lundi 9 avril 2018 10:00
As if already being on your period isn't a big enough FML, why does buying feminine hygiene products have to be such an extra pain?

Belinda Hankins posted a text exchange between her and her daughter about what an FML nightmare not only having your period can be, but tampon shopping, and society's general hush-hush attitude around the forbidden topic of menstruation.

"OK. I lied earlier. THIS was the highlight of my parenting week. Sending my 13-year-old daughter into the store for (whispers) 'feminine hygiene products,' and having the following text exchange. I died, she gave me life, I died again. And she drew an illustration, on the spot, ON HER PHONE, to drive her point home."

Any woman can relate. Check out the convesation for yourself, below.

Honestly, this is the truest shit I've read all day. And I've been reading memes all day.

I once had to get tampons but was using crutches, so my ex had to carry them. He goes "why is everyone so afraid of these cotton monsters" and carry to hold them above his head to the check out, declaring "they're tampons" loudly to anyone who looked up at them. I couldn't stop laughing. The Devil even paid for them. Great guy.

LOL This is hilarious! And so accurate! We're not even going to mention the absurd high price of these things? As a card-carrying woman, I can confirm that we don't enjoy these things, and even less with their price tag.
