I'm from America, what would be the "translations" of money? Penny's (worth one cent) and nickels( worth five cents)?
More like 1 and 2 cent pieces
technically it's 1 cent coins and 2 cent coins. pence and cents are practically interchangeable
Thank you!
I mean time is money.. but seriously I hate people that do that. I was working and these kids paid with $10 worth of pennies ($0.01) just for ***** and giggled
You aren't allowed to refuse it unless it's an order over $50
I don't understand the problem. I've never done it, but I've accepted it as a cashier dozens of times. You may not be an experienced cashier, but you've probably been counting money most of your life. why is this hard?
The problem isn't that it's hard, it's that it's annoying, a waste of time and it shows a lack of respect for both the cashier and the other customers waiting in line. It's even worse at McDonald's because most people go there to save to save time, and most cashiers are young students who are already confused enough by everything that's going on around them.
I hate it when that happens. I used to work at the dollar store and someone paid $17 all in dimes. ($0.10 cent pieces) it's not that it's hard, it's just annoying.
You can refuse service by law in the UK if someone wants to pay for something in 2p/1p for anything over 20p 5p/10p can be refused if over £5. If you going into retail or just working with cash it's a good thing to google and remember.

I'm not entirely certain you're allowed to refuse payment like that, but you should be
