Today, a lady came in with an overheating car for emissions testing. I told her to turn it off, she refused, put it in drive, then watched in horror after her engine blew up. I got blamed and reported by her, even though I warned her about it. Now I'm suspended and might get fired. I give up. FML

Sounds like her troubles are only starting. If she isn't taking advice from automotive experts, she's probably also ignoring medical advice. Sucks to be her. And if your job fires you for this, then you can do better. Any company that takes the customers word over the employees without proof is a shitty place to work for.

What an awful experience! There are always those that don't pay attention and try to drag the rest of us down with them. So sorry!

She had an old beater. Probably a '96 Camry. She refused to listen and actually wanted us to "drive" her car out of the lane. By policy, we aren't allowed to do so. She fussed and fussed until she figured out she wasn't getting her way. We ended up pushing her car into the parking lot. It all happened on camera, so I should be okay job security wise.

Yeah, she wasn't too happy about it. The chances of getting fired are slim since it all happened on camera. I do appreciate being called an automotive expert. Lol. I'm not too bright when it comes to cars, but I'm intelligent enough to know the basics, like if the engine is overheating, putting it in drive is not a bright idea. She wants to sue me for the repairs so I guess we'll see how this runs down.
