Today, I got a letter in the mail from corporate saying that I'm being demoted because I don't work enough hours. I also got a text from my boss congratulating me on making the best sales numbers for November. FML
I agree, your life sucks 37 840
You deserved it 2 312

nikkih_06 tells us more.

I was demoted from part time to causal part time, which requires that I work less then 20 hours a week. And I only get commission if I go over my goal.

You're just really efficient, point it out to your manager and get the matter rectified

You work little hours but have the best sales? The people at corporate sure are blind...

Looks like someone has to call HR and get their life figured out. Good luck and Congrats on the sales numbers.

Why would he need to get his life figured out?

Because they may need to think about finding a better place of employment?

Report that and make sure that you get what you're worth for OP

Maybe you should tell your manager that and send it up the chain of command...

That would be idiotic of the company to demote you...call them!

Actually one has nothing to do with the other. you should've worked more hours.

I doubt OP has control over how many hours they work unless they are taking too many sick days or something like that

Not to mention that they are doing the best sales for the company. Why would you fire or demote the employee that is bringing in the most sales/money for your company? Doesn't make much sense.
