Today, I woke up extremely hungover. I couldn't find my car keys so I went out to my car to see if I had locked them inside. I walked back to the door of my apartment barefoot and empty handed, only to find that I had locked myself out of the apartment. FML

Not True. I would drive my two friends who lived next door home just about every other weekend and I would keep their keys until the next morning so they couldn't go anywhere after I dropped them off. Of course, they knew I had their keys so they weren't really lost.

I generally remember when my friends take my keys as I'm sure your friends do. If you drove them home I'm pretty sure they don't go outside keyless and in bare feet to check their own freaking cars for the keys they didn't use the night before... the fact that they had to check their car from the night that they are hungover from tells me they're a bit of a moron. And good for you for being a DD :)

Nah, it's not so much "don't get drunk EVER," it's "if you're going to get drunk, be ready for the consequences." I never try to do anything that requires much thought when I'm hung over. I really think hangovers affect your cognitive abilities just as much as being drunk. So this dude deserves it.

in my apartment building; the door locks as soon as it closes behind me. No keys equals locked out.

Wanting to/Being drunk doesn't make yourself mature or cool. Its personal preference, but I'd rather have one or two drinks and be able to REMEMBER my enjoyable night, than get shitfaced, spend half the night hugging the toilet, and not be able to remember a damn thing the next day. YDI. Although, that sounds like something I would do (lock myself out - I'm naturally forgetful.)
