Today, I was upset after a fight with my husband, so I cried alone in the bedroom. My 4-year-old son then comes in and hugs me. I thought he was trying to comfort me, but he then told me he had to go get his quarter my husband had promised to pay him if he made me shut up. FML

More than half these people in here don't know what a serious relationship is...yeah this is really grounds for divorce...good call...you'll make it 2 months with an attitude like that. He could have sent the kid in without paying him, but dad was pissed obviously and wanted to make a point. How do we know the mom didnt deserve it?

Even if she did deserve it, don't use the kid. Don't put the kid in the middle... they'll end up possibly scarred and will learn bad habits that will prevent them from carrying on normal relationships. If you're going to have a fight, be an adult and do it yourselves. Don't involve others like a child.

If he never had intentions of the kid telling the mom about the quarter, dad did the right thing sending him in to comfort her. So possibly the kid an his loud mouth could be the culprit!

Man, you sure married a winner. FYL for sure, but by the same token, this is why it's a good idea to make sure well ahead of time that the dude you're dating isn't a complete and total asshole before you decide to marry him.
