Today, I broke up with my boyfriend. As I left his house and began to drive away, I see him chasing after my car barefoot. I stop and roll down the window, ready to listen to the speech he has prepared to win me over with. He takes a moment to catch his breath and says "I want my cellphone back". FML

Today, I was making out with my boyfriend. When we took a break and went downstairs, he checked the mail. He had received a letter from his ex-girlfriend, which he opened in front of me. He then began sobbing on my shoulder and broke up with me. He still had to drive me home. FML

If you were prepared to listen to his speech, why did you break up with him? Should have tried to work shit out before you did something stupid. Since this is on FML, you're obviously upset that he doesn't want you back, so breaking up with him was just some ploy to get him to pay attention to you. Grow up.

Most people aren't saying it was wrong of her to breakup with him. They are complaining that she is on a major ego trip and broke up with him just so he would have to beg her not to leave him.

When I broke up with my boyfriend I was expecting him to come after me, he treated me so badly and so terriblely I just couldn't go through it any more and called it off, he wanted nothing to do with me and I didn't hear from him for 5 days but he came back and apologized and said he will change his ways, I didn't expect him to say that he couldnt live without me bla bla bla lame movie bullshit but just that he was sorry and that he loves me which was what he did =) oh and we got back together too. =D Give him a day or two to calm down and don't expect anything, then you aren't disappointed.
