Today, I took my girlfriend to a very nice restaurant. I thought it would be a good place to pop the question. I gave the ring to the waiter and asked him to put it on her dessert plate. When she saw it she picked it up, put it down and said "no". Then she started to eat the dessert. FML

aww, thats so mean D: but how long were you two dating? maybe shes just not ready for marriage for example, if you only dated for 1 or 2 years. maybe its a good thing that you two wait, cause sometimes couples marry way too soon, when they're not ready.

Wow. In a way, I always feel bad for people who get proposed to when they're not interested - it really does put them on the spot and unless the one proposing is a complete jacka**, the one who says no is the bad guy. That really, really sucks. My sympathy for her ends there b/c she had no reason to be such a . . . wow. So heartless about it. I would have been tempted to snatch her dessert plate away, say 'no' and stick HER with the bill. Even if you handled t he situation with grace, it's perfectly reasonable to break up with her citing the fact that you don't want to waste your time with someone who sends mixed messages. And I mean: not seeing her at all, not hanging out with her friends, insisting that your friends act like true friends and drop her like a bad habit. How awful! Best of luck to you.

If you've been going out for a while and its been serious, then you should consider cutting your losses. If you just popped the question way too soon, then maybe you need to readjust your strategies. Or she's a fatty and was just way more interested in dessert...

Oh man... sorry about that... for real... I'm about to pop the question too, and I can't even imagine how would it be to get rejected...

What is with all of this (apparently) nice men dating (apparently) cunty ******* bitches?

#10 "Seriously, what positive thing has marriage ever done for anyone? It weakens relationships more than it strenghtens them..." I honestly feel bad for you, that your parents and apparently none of your friends' parents have a relationship. It sickens me that the concept of a family is falling apart. Marriage does not work these days because people are immature ***** who can't stick to one person for the rest of their life. At college all I see is a bunch of alcoholics who hook up with different people every week. Where is the fun in that? I can't understand why people don't want to get married anymore...I guess I'm just lucky that I was raised by married parents.

Ok so you don't understand why people don't want to get married anymore. Respectful. Can you tell me why you WANT to get married ? You can state as many reasons as you feel are necessary :)

Because you can't have a relationship without mariage, right?

haha you deserved it just by letting her be comfortable doing stuff like that to you! Keep your woman in place!
