Today, after my two credit cards were stolen, thousands were charged before I could cancel. The thief dropped nearly $1,000 at Juicy Couture, so she/he is somewhere laughing at me in a magenta, rhinestoned "leisure suit." FML

you can totally contest that. no store should allow someone to use a credit card for that much without checking the signature and ID. if they don't verify the ID, contest it with the credit card company and if they can't do anything, you can sue the store.

Idk how people let you continue living... Seriously **** the worlds life.

Actually, the credit card companies discourage stores from asking for ID. Fortunately, in the US, your liability is limited to $50 if your credit card is stolen.

How can the credit card companies be discouraging checking ID when it is the card companies that have told ever store I've worked at (and there have been far too many) that under NO circumstances is a husband to use a wife's card, a wife to use a husband's card, or any body not on the accounts at all to use any of the card. They tell you to check ID for those reasons.

you can totally contest that. no store should allow someone to use a credit card for that much without checking the signature and ID. if they don't verify the ID, contest it with the credit card company and if they can't do anything, you can sue the store.

Maybe they bought stuff in small amounts and it added up?

no because juicy couture is expensive! and i believe it has to be under $25 for them not to ask for ID

I would like to point out that this is wrong. Many stores have policies with credit card companies where as long as the card is signed no ID is needed. While unlikely, the company can even be fined for asking for ID on signed cards. So obviously not signing your cards, or writing SEE ID, is the best option.

Yeah, you can totally contest that purchase - plus, I'm guessing Juicy has security cameras, you might nab the bugger.

A bugger is a man who enjoys sticking his peen in other mens' poots.

43, yes it is. What planet did you come from?

and now I can't get the horrible idea of someone running around in sweatpants with the word "juicy" across their ass in tacky rhinestones. for that, I blame you. bit hey, just tell the cops to look for the tackiest person in town and check them for your cards...

that really sucks! but wouldn't you have realized they were stolen, and cancelled them, almost immediately?
