Today, I went to my little brother's high school to speak to his counselor about his grades. On my way to the office, the office manager threatened to write me up for ditching class and told me that high school is not like middle school, 9th grade will be different. I graduated 5 years ago. FML

I taught high school Spanish when I was 25 and another teacher threatened to write me up because I was in the hallway during exams haha. Give it time, you’ll be wishing for those moments soon enough!

Did you prove him wrong, or did you sulk off complaining that everyone still thinks you're 14?

You graduated high school at age 9? Is that you, Doogie Howser?

I feel ya op, I'm 26 but my mom was told it's her responsibility over me when we ordered alcohol at a restaurant🙄

What a stupid and ignorant thing to say!

Yes, America has a lot of school shootings, but not that many.

I see folks around here are as humourless and self-righteous as ever.

And then the ones who do graduate have to deal with the water turning everyone into gay frogs.

People lose their lives to these things and they still happen. You think it’s perfectly fine to joke about lives that were someone’s kid, brother, sister, and friend?

I know the feeling. If I got somewhere with my mom in the morning on a school day, they ask if my mom is taking me to school. I've been told I had to have my mom sign papers for me because they thought I was a minor. It happens a lot

My friend is a teacher and teachers always do stuff like this to her the first time she meets them. A substitute teacher recently told her off for being in the teacher's lounge.

I was once told in Walmart that I had to go to customer service to have them find my dad.... i am 23... when I showed my i.d they called it fake and called the cops on me. who asked for my social security number to confirm if i was a minor or not. and while they were confirming how old i was... they had me call my mom who lives 2 hours away to ask her to come pick me up from Walmart (apparently i looked too young to drive) she asked if i was drunk. when she said that they asked her if she let's her underage daughter drink... yeah talk about bullcrap

Hey! Take it as a compliment, OP! I am 25 and I’m pretty sure some students at the school I work at still think I’m a student as well!

Happened to me. I graduated two years earlier but had to go in to order a new diploma as mine was destroyed by a hurricane. Security remembered me and took me to the office which is where I wanted to be anyways.
