Today, I noticed there was a red truck following me. I walked as fast as I could. I then ran. It followed. I slipped on some ice and fell. I was unable to get up. It stopped beside me and the driver got out. I then said hello to my husband's new car. FML

Totally deserved. Look at what you are doing ffs. In this case - one look at the driver would had been enough. If it turned out to be a criminal, at least you could describe him to police.

Agreed. In prevention classes, they always teach you to be aware of your surroundings and to look directly at people around you. One of the biggest reasons is that if a would-be attacker sees that you have seen his face and acknowledged him, he's less likely to attack you because you can identify you. I guess that or he's more likely to kill you. Either/or, lol. A look at the driver could have saved you some pain, OP!

your husband us the shit 1. your husband has a sense of humour. he probably knew you were going ti be scared that's why he did that. 2. if you used your sense of sight well, all you had to do was look in the car to see your husband. it's a new car so the front windows can't be tinted. 3. what were u thinking trying to outrun a truck? weren't you suppose to be on the sidewalk? if you were on the sidewalk, all you had to do was run to one of your neighbours houses.

Just because its new to him doesn't mean its brand new, I have a car from 2002 and the windows are pretty dark, even the front one. Then again that was ten years ago, i still think of the 90s when I say ten years ago...
