Today, I shook hands with a girl and held onto her hand while telling her she had very tiny, delicate hands. When I let go to look at them, I discovered she only had two fingers. FML

Today, I was on a date with this girl I actually like. The date was going really well and it seemed like it would be a good night. While in the movie theater, I went to hold her hand and instead she gave me a hand shake and said, "You're so funny, I'm so glad we're friends". FML

Today, I was looking at the skeleton of a human male that we have in out biology classroom. I picked up the hand to examine the bones in the finger, and had the sudden realization that this is the only time that I have held hands with a boy. I'm a junior in college. FML

Today, I met my daughter's first serious boyfriend, only she forgot to mention he has hypermobility. All I did was shaking his hand normally, but it still dislocated three of his knuckles. My daughter made me call his mother to explain what I did. FML

Today, I was holding my baby daughter during a checkup. To reassure her, I was kissing the back of her head while the Dr. was checking her hearing. After a few minutes, I realized the Dr. had put his hand to steady her head. I was kissing his hand. FML

Hello everyone! Actual person with only two fingers on their right hand here. I'm kind for self conscious about it and I hide it a lot and avoid shaking hands, and sometimes people don't notice until months after they have known me! I try to be lighthearted about it however, and I'll often tell curious children that it was a shark bite or a science experiment gone wrong. I've been like this since I was born and I can't imagine life without it. Most days I forget about it and don't even think that I am different from everyone else. But I am unique in that way and I think it's pretty cool so everyone who is saying that it is weird or that they should have noticed before, I hope I helped.
