Today, at college orientation, it started to rain suddenly. Several people in my group from other areas of the country freaked out. I said "Welcome to the South," jokingly referencing our fickle weather. I was called a racist. My whole group was white. FML

Wow I will say it was a stereotype but last I checked weather has nothing to do with race.

I get that a lot too when I use that phrase around Yankees. Northerners are just weird sometimes.

To be honest, this sounds like something I would say, people get made, and then me being very confused and asking what X has to do with what I mentioned. Well, if I talked much in public, which I don't because people tend to suck.
