Today, my boyfriend missed another big event in my life. He always claims he can't come because "he's busy" doing what? You have no job. FML.
I agree, your life sucks 186
You deserved it 26

Okay I've had similar issues with my boyfriend so I'll share my experience, maybe it'll help. First off at first my boyfriend was doing the same thing, he was missing birthdays, didn't care for attending prom(we started dating in highschool), didn't want to come to my graduation, he didn't want to go anywhere with my parents, and I was feeling unimportant. He would always make excuses and say he was busy, he wasn't employed either. I came close to ending things simply because I felt unimportant and that I was committed to the relationship more than he was. In our case, he had a valid reason for not wanting to go anywhere with me. It was because he was unemployed and didn't want to waste any money when he was struggling to eat and wasn't okay with having people pay for him. I'm not saying that this is what's going on with your boyfriend, I'm saying talk to him about it. there might be a reason, and assuming he's not busy just because he's unemployed isn't helping anyone either, someone can have stuff to do regardless of having a job, I know i had plenty to take care of when I didn't have a job. point is talk to him, and if you need someone to go to for advice you can always message me as well
