Today, one of my teachers asked me to babysit their kids saturday night. She didn't forget that it was Prom night, she was going to chaperone it. My teacher assumed I wasn't invited to Prom... I wasn't. FML

Today, I got a call from a girl I know, asking if I could babysit her little brother at my house tonight. I said yes. When the boy came over, he mentioned that his sister was having a party and didn't want him there. Turns out all my friends were invited except me. FML

Today, I had to work at the restaurant instead of going to the prom, which nobody asked me out to. For five hours, I got to shamefully greet and seat people on their way home from the prom, all of whom knew I was too lame to get asked out. FML

Today, a woman got out of a car to scream at me as I was walking with the kids I babysit, demanding to know where I was taking her children. Apparently the woman who pays me is also a babysitter, who I have been "covering" for on her party nights. The mother doesn't believe I didn't know this. FML

Today, I was invited to a party. Since I rarely get invited to any, I was super pumped. Both my parents work late, so I texted a couple of people to see if I could catch a ride. It turned out everyone's cars were full. I ended up missing one of the only parties I've ever been invited to. FML

Today, I was looking through my high school yearbook. I found a picture of myself and a couple of my friends at our senior prom. The caption gave the names of all my friends, their dates who didn't attend our school, and listed me only as "guest." FML

I've read a few FMLs like this one. I wasn't invited to prom either. It's life and it sucks when this kind of thing happens.

Honestly, I'd rather MAKE some money than spend all mine (or my parents) money on a dance you'll spend 10 minutes at then the rest of the night drinking and boning in some cheap motel. I know, the ladies love their prom. It's one of the million "have-to's" on the chick-list. But I ******* hated prom. Every. Time. I. Went. In my opinion, don't skip that part... OPINION (underlined, highlighted and circled) you lucked out, but I'm sure the prom means something particularly special to you.

@ #7 I'm a guy, I had a lot of fun at my prom. My date was just one of my friends, we just went to the dance, all went back to a friends house, and it was just good times. It was a lot of fun.
