You've always known he's a Mama's Boy, but you accepted his marriage proposal anyway. His suggestion is just one more example of his inability to cut the apron strings. Think twice before taking your wedding vows to make sure you can handle having his Mom so involved in your relationship.

you should have said no at the alter

sounds like a weird, but good man nonetheless.

just say in a sexy voice this is gonna be our alone time...

Well, it's not like he wants to bring her for her delicious pot roast.

Deff not the image I wanted, thanks bro

#8, I need deep cleaning brain bleach, else everything I remember, pops into my head randomly...

Let her come along. That way she can oversee the proceedings and make sure that a grandbaby will be on the way soon.

Not good strategy. The old gal will be dead soon, so suck it up on the honeymoon, and have a great vacation with the inheritance.

Well peredix, I now lay the following conundrum at your feet; what if she's broke?

Dump him. She shouldn't marry into a family of hobos. Even if he seems financially well-off now, he's genetically doomed to become a failure.

Perhaps he is afraid to leave her alone because she is elderly and feeble? He may not have anyone he can trust to make sure she is ok. I'm sure she would get her own space.

Last time I checked, the honeymoon is supposed to be a fun time between the newlywed husband and wife, not the newlywed husband and wife and husbands elderly mother. If I were you, I would have said right then and there, no way, and if he had any issues with it, tell him that the engagement is off if he persists in insisting she tag along.

the mom just wants to put this in her scrap book her own son getting married
