I swim competitively. it's common. sometimes they don't tell you you've been disqualified before the race. good job, though

it's true. the slightest twitch a second or two before the start is grounds for disqualification. don't worry, you can beat their asses next rime.

I would just like to say that its not really a flinch caused by something coming at you. it's more like an involuntary muscle contraction. even though that's a "flinch" you're not really reacting to something you're more twitch. more along the lines of blinking or breathing

What do you want them to do stop the rest of the swimmers to tell you you've been disqualified

219: The FML says she flinched "before the race started." That means when she flinched, they could've blown a whistle or something before all of the swimmers started

Practice is for "journeys" this shit is for all the marbles (gold, silver, and bronze). And she didn't get not one. Not even the dented one. I understand you're saying she should look on the bright side--in all actuality, unless she got ahead of them she really did "win". I agree. She whupped their arses. She got disqualified for twitching, not for leaving early or doing the wrong stroke. She still finished before everyone and might just do it again.

And the winner will forever remember that they won by default (; you still kicked ass, congratulations.

Yes it is the same. I used to race and even leaning forward the tinniest bit will get you disqualified.
