I totally understand how you feel...I found out the guy that I am in love with thinks he is sorta gay and I actually think I would prefer him being gay than with another girl.

@6: It hurts to be on the other end, but sometimes some experimentation is needed before you know what your sexuality is. Why does that make him a douche? Maybe your ex was playing with your emotions (two years is an awfully long time to experiment with just one person), but the OP? I don't think that's necessarily true.

Either way, I'd be happy for him. I accidentally set up a crush like that, except it was with another girl instead. He still doesn't know I like him...but at least he's happy.

I don't believe that being homosexual makes a person a 'douche bag' at all. It isn't his fault that he is gay. He didn't choose to be gay. Personally, I'm all for gay marriage, and I wouldn't call anyone participating in a homosexual wedding a 'douche bag'

@35 I don't think 6 meant he is a douche bag because he's gay but instead that he's a douche bag for having a heterosexual relationship when he knew he's gay. Still it seems like the op called him gay because he's dating a guy now but gay and straight aren't the only options here. The guy could be BI for something.

I am so sorry. It would suck to have a guy leave because he is gay. But there are plenty of more fish in the sea, and many that are much finer than him I bet. ;)
