Just start getting some pamphlets from funeral homes and cemeteries and leve them around the house so she'll find one. Then if she asks you about it, laugh and shrug. Then ask her about the will.

There's nothing wrong with believing in God. Comments like that are just as narrow minded as the one's OP's grandmother made, only in the opposite direction. Think in grey a little people!

Guess what? It's *your* life not hers. I don't mean to sound so calloused but F*** her. I spent (read: wasted) three years of my life in self-loathing when I could have been living—my family, you see is fundamentalist Christian and after a couple of exorcism attempts and much introspection, I realized the problem wasn't myself, but a mixture of others and my (then, not now) perfunctory need to make them happy.

I totally agree with #13! Your grandma is... less than open-minded about things, apparently. Screw that. Do what you want, love who you want! Also, I like #9's suggestion!! lol! Annnnd, I loved #s 2 and 3. Those definitely made my night.
