Don't be my Valentine

By CRD1995 - This FML is from back in 2016 but it's good stuff - United States - Dallas

Today, I received my Valentine's gift from my fiancée in the mail. We broke up yesterday. FML
I agree, your life sucks 22 013
You deserved it 2 117

CRD1995 tells us more.

The gift that she sent me holds no monetary value. She lives in Japan, and I live in America. She sent a journal consisting of entries that she wrote everyday while I was in basic training for two months. There was also a poster board with our pictures on it. It's really hard to look at all of the things she sent, but it honestly makes me feel a little better that this FML got published. And also I did go see Deadpool already! Thanks for the advice.

I hope it was chocolate. It's good for both situations

Nothing beats watching graphic movie deaths on Valentine's Day. It's my dream date.

"Your boyfriend said this was a superhero movie, but that one guy just turned that other guy into a ******* kabob!"

I actually saw Deadpool with the guy I'm liking, the day before Valentine's Day, and I would recommend it as a date activity. Awesome movie, better with the sweet company of your crush.

If it's chocolate then go rent a movie and eat that chocolate on Valentine's Day. Just because you're single doesn't mean you can't enjoy yourself on Valentine's Day.

I doubt anyone could enjoy Valentine's Day if they just broke up with their fiancé two days earlier. That must be truly gut wrenching. I'd say that OP should cry into her pillow all day if she wants and not feel ashamed of it. We all need time to mourn when a very serious relationship ends.

22 I rent movies all the time. it's cheaper and I have the luxury of hanging out in my house and not having to listen to other people.

I think 22 is wondering because most movie rental stores closed down. But 22 you can still rent movies through an Apple TV or with your tv carrier.

I'm trying to find a Silver lining and the only thing that I can come up with is you won't be yelled at for the rest of your life for forgetting your anniversary.... It's possible that only happens to me though.

If it bothers you to keep it, you could either give it away or sell it?
