Perhaps, now it's time to send little Jenny with her grandparents, if possible, so you are able to rest and spend a little time alone together. Then, you could go with them to spend New Year's together (if you celebrate it) It all works out!

If their daughter is a baby they probably are not getting much sleep. When you are suffering from sleep deprivation you will hit a point where you will pass out no matter what is going on.

I don't see why this is down voted. it's perfectly sensible to send kids away for maybe an afternoon to catch up on each other and loving each other.
