Today, I spent 2 hours making the perfect card for my dad for Father's Day. When I handed it to him, he smiled and said "Thank you" and then killed a fly with it. I found it in the trash a couple of hours later. FML

I bet if it had a naked chick on it he wouldn't have thrown it away, mind you it'd probably be really awkward.

Attention Women: Guys typically don't care about cards. They are a waste of time, space, and resources. Just so you know, we don't think like you do usually. We are just wired differently.

how did he deserve this people? it's like disliking a video on YouTube cuz ur a troll

Next year just buy him a flyswatter and write "To Dad" on it with permanent marker. That's what I would had done anyway in your situation.

Don't take it personal op, I don't keep any greeting cards either.

That is so mean. Your dad is an asshole. Today I got a warning from my boss for unprofessional wardrobe today because I wore a hat that said best dad ever. It made me look like the cat in the hat but with ribbons and shit and I'm still wearing it because it was from my son and he thinks I look cool in it.

My dad woukd still have it in his drawer 10 years later. Some times the more you care for people the more they take it for granted. Get him nothing next year and when he inevitably asks, remind him of the fly swatter
