Today, my mum called and told me she had bought me a new, white dish washer for my apartment because it doesn't have one. I was SO excited and told her I'd pay her back as soon as I could. I only had to pay her $1.25. She bought me a sponge. FML

Today, after doing vigorous chores all day with my girlfriend, her mom came and paid us each $100. My girlfriend cried and threw a fit because she said they were her chores, so she deserves all the money. FML

Today, was my mom's birthday. I recently got my first job, thanks to her, and could finally afford to buy her something nice. I spent my first paycheck ever on buying her a very nice bracelet. She said it was nice, then asked if I would mind if she exchanged it for one she actually liked. FML

Today, it's been months that my mom has owed me $174, and every time I ask she tells me she's too poor to pay me back. Girly bought an entire 180k dollar farm with my grandparents the day after I asked (also the money was used for gas, and she guilt tripped me into giving it to her). FML

Today, my mom came over for dinner. She lost her mind, screaming and yelling, because my oven melted the dollar store cooking dish that she insisted on using. Never mind the fact I’m going to have to pay a couple hundred, if not a thousand dollars for a new stove. Oh no, she’s out a whole buck. FML

Why is it that parents think it's so damn funny to trick their kids into thinking they bought them a large gift when they actually bought them something small? Doesn't sound like anything but a good way to get your kid to resent the hell out of you, if you ask me. And no, I'm not saying kids ought to expect any large gifts from their parents, but I still think it's entirely unnecessary to trick your child into thinking they're getting something they're not.

A dishwasher won't work that well unless you rinse everything down and get off any crusty food- trust me learned the hard way- now I do the dishes immediately after dinner so that won't happen. I still rinse/wipe down everything first.
