Today, I got yelled, screamed, and cursed at by a customer until I was reduced to tears. This was all because I double-checked to make sure she wanted large fries. FML

You Americans are very sensitive, from what I read. And, I assume, the person yelling was not the slimest slim shady in detroit?

Don't let customers get to you. They're not always right and sometimes do those kinds of things for sport. Be congenial until they act like dicks, then you drop the happy part and the conversation while doing your job or what you can and if they persist then get your manager. You're still human and you can tell them not to yell at you or be rude and that you're trying to help them. Good luck.

I Deal with rude customers often. One 400lb fatass who uses an oxygen tank is always at my workplace stirring up shit. He will flat out lie and try and bully the employees to get his way. He shuffled to our boss and made up a bunch of lies so he could get something for free.

Nothing wrong with double checking an order to get it right. Getting it wrong and having the customer and boss both bitch you out would have been worse so I'd rather have situation A
